Nerone & Patuzzi Large Wooden Sculpture, 1970s
Wooden sculpture by Nerone Ceccarelli, Italy 1979. Unique sculpture made for a residence in Turin. The sculpture is composed of carved wooden forms, zinc and copper in a very strong constructivist way. The work is finished on all sides and can therefore be placed free in any space. Nerone Ceccarelli developed a special technique to achieve a unique result on the surface of the wood; unique warmth and saturation. Ceccarelli studied in Florence and Venice, it was the last city where he met Carlo Scarpa, who had a big influence in the search for details and compositional balance. The work is in excellent condition.
